Good mother boards with intergrated video
I'm looking for decently priced mother boards with good intergated video and sound.
Something that supposed DDR2 ram and used AMD 64 processors.
Also if the intergrated video on the board was output via DVI that would be great.

I've never seen any Integrated Video that couldn't be bested by even the lowest-end graphics card, although I suppose the sound could be considered "adequate" on some.
Why exactly do you need this, are you just trying to save a few bones or run a PC that won't be used to games etc?

Well, you are either trolling or are stupid.
Onboard technologies lag about 4-5 years behind modern equipment. Even the best, the ATI 200 and 945GM chipsets, are easily bested by Gefore FX 5200s and Radeon 9200s.
If you have any video card, even a radeon 8500, you can use that to greater results.
Granted, the new onboards have Shader 2 and the Radeon 9200 and 8500 don't, they still play games far faster. Trust me; I've seen what the 945G can't do in person.

The onboard GeForce series are some of the most powerful out there. The strongest being the GeForce 6150 which is a severely crippled GeForce 6200. In other words onboard video cards can display a picture and that's about it.
If you're on a budget and you want some video card power I recommend buying a video card from a really old series that was once high-end like the Radeon X800/850XT series or the GeForce 6800 series (6800 Ultra is more powerful than 7800GS). Unless you want shader model 4, in that case you're screwed.

It is a sad state of affairs. After all, we blame pathetic integrated video cards for a bulk of ZSNES's bug reports.kevman wrote:Onboard technologies lag about 4-5 years behind modern equipment. Even the best, the ATI 200 and 945GM chipsets, are easily bested by Gefore FX 5200s and Radeon 9200s.

you would, i don't.clessoulis wrote:You'd think intergrated cards would be at least to par of a radeon 9600 pro with shader 3.
it steals system RAM anyway. buy a video card, onboard sound will do the job much better than onboard video, but onboard video and sound just shouldn't be relied on. especially video
