So I totally ripped the switch on the side right off. I was wondering if I took a few wires and connected them in the right order, would that work just as well? I imagine that if there are three positions of the switch, that when the switch is in any particular position, that two of the connectors are in a circuit.
<pagefault> i'd break up with my wife if she said FF8 was awesome

Sounds to me like it should work. You could probably go to an electronics store and pick up a single pole double throw switch for cheap and just solder a new one on.

it's a pretty tiny switch. you'd have to have a huge one sticking out the side.

These aren't that big, don't know if you have a Rat Shack in your area though.
