F-3582, cool thanks. You have the WIP URL, right? Nope, don't have it. I hope not to promise too much, because last time I tried Bsnes on my Linux box (a 1,7GHz Dothan Pentium-M with a mobilityRadeon 9700) it stuttered like hell. I suppose that stuttering in sync with the gameplay should already be...

Speaking of which, can anyone please test the PulseAudio driver I added? :P I'll try it this afternoon. However, my version ain't glitch-free, yet, and I wasn't in the mood for letting Rawhide trash my laptop just for this ;) Maybe in two weeks when Fedora 10 will be out, I'll be able to truly test...

It is supposed to allow any latency you need. It uses a big sound buffer but it can rewrite any part of it -> http://0pointer.de/blog/projects/pulse-glitch-free.html But I'm not sure if you can specify your needed latency when using the ALSA API... Mednafen does a pretty good job with the ALSA back...

Before going with OSS4 and esd, I tried to remove pulseaudio, but that also removed ALSA (or was that ubuntu-desktop? I don't exactly remember (ubuntu-desktop is a container for lots of packages, namely the gnome de, and a few other things)), but I remember it trying to remove something I wanted to...

Well, after some reading/thinking I have to say that I'm pretty impressed with what Pulseaudio achieved and is trying to achieve. First I thought that it really was just some sound server, but the more I think about it the more it seems like the AUHAL component in CoreAudio while ALSA is the HAL cou...

Could some one please clear something up for me: Is the native pulseaudio API capable of competing to OSS in terms of latency? By that I mean Pulseaudio on top of some undocumented and very special ALSA functions no one used before as pointed out here and here . Because whenever someone rants about ...

Can't get any sound with OSS4
Hi, this is weird... I'm using Ubuntu Hardy with a fresh install of OSS4 (finally got rid of PulseAudio). Everything is fine, so far (Okay, Rhythmbox does some weird crap, probably due to the deprecated version of GStreamer), but ZSNES stays quiet. First off, yes, ZSNES is using OSS. Terminal shows ...

Thanks for updating the translation. I was pretty busy with studying during the weekend.creaothceann wrote:[locale_german.rar]
Are there plans on adding support for translated keys & advanced descriptions?
Say, is this still UTF-8?

We may have debated this before, so before this degenerates into further questioning, let's just be aware of the cost as we struggle to find a benefit to weigh it against: a user is being presented with two different options which appear to be doing the same thing. Some will perceive redundancy, ot...

Nope. This one. Anyway, I've been switching to Linux about the time Ubuntu Dapper came out and I didn't find anything (except games, apparently) I couldn't do on Linux and so I decided to stay there. Can't say I'm sad about that decision. There is a load of good emulators for Linux and most of my g...
