The Down Button

No.

It hangs after the first button you assign to the controller. For example, you can assign the first 3 directions to keyboard, 4th direction to joypad, and then it hangs on the 5th button to assign., no matter what button you press.

Nope no throttle. I really don't know how to solve their problem.

I also am having problems with my Logitech Dual Action, which kinda sucks because ZSNES was the only reason I bought it. Has anyone gotten ZSNES to work with the "Logitech Dual Action"?

UPDATE: I waited through the "crash" (which was actually just a long hang) and everything works fine now. Expect to wait 1 or 2 minutes.

2ND UPDATE: UGHHNNN YES! This controller feels so good on my palms. It's like Super Nintendo sex.

Jesus Christ dude, calm down.

So from the information I gather from this thread, when using this particular Logitech controller with ZSNES, after assigning the first button on the controller, ZSNES freezes for a very long time, then everything else is OK.

Does ZSNES freeze *before* or *after* you press the second joystick buttton? For example, you use the "Set Keys" button, you assign the first button for up, then ZSNES prompts you to press a button for down. Does ZSNES freeze as soon as it prompts you to press a button for down, or after you press a button for down? For example, can you press ESC to skip all the rest of the assignments after the first, without having it freeze? Or does it only freeze after you press the second button?

Also, you might try opening the task manager while ZSNES is "frozen" and seeing how much CPU time its taking.

You know, you can also assign keyboard/joystick mappings through the configuration file. Maybe everyone reading this thread who has this controller can copy/paste their scan keys from the config file into this thread. Then people could just put them right into their config file and not have to wait for the GUI.

I'm not really sure how the scancodes work, maybe someone can shed some light on this. Maybe people can just start posting their scancodes and saying what button on the controller they correspond to.

It freezes immediately after the first button is assigned. Other button presses still have an effect, but you won't see the effect until after it unfreezes (of course)

Supersonic, did you update ZSNES recently? If yes, see if deleting the .cfg+.dat files that ZSNES generates and see if that problem goes away. (Note: You will have to reconfigure your controller after doing this.)

After I had successfully configured my joypad, the freezing issue stopped totally (even with reconfigures)...it's just the first time you try to use it with ZSNES you'll have to get past a freeze. If you kill ZSNES before the freeze is done, you'll have to freeze again.

At least, that's how it was for me. Bugs that resolve themselves must be the hardest to debug.
