ZSNES in Spanish
It can be??? Some emus like Gens32 comes with a separated document (an INI file) that can be translated.

I don't realy know why you are making fun of that question... maybe you don't know what "spanish" is... It appears to be some kind of bizarre language spoken by some hundred millions of people (the third language in number of speakers, actually), so that question makes sense.
Thers is not a matter of understanding the options or the text, is a matter of quality; there are a lot of options worthless in ZSNES, so why not translating it to other languages, although you think it doesn't worth the effort?

You don't understand how extrodinarily hardcoded the font/English is in ZSNES. If anything, you are better off talking to the doc guys about having a Spanish translation of the docs (I think we have a subdivision, but I could be wrong). ZFont was created for the purpose of modifying the existing font, but original design of the GUI had English written in mind. It would be easier with other emus that use the standard (non-fun) GUIs for the most part anyhow... though if there was a time the GUI was totally redone (expanded font support would probably be done), maybe a system to incorporate different languages would be considered.. but at the moment it's not realistic. Huh? I'm not making fun of anything... my Elder Futhark localization works just fine. Luckily, it's still English but with a runic fontset. Also, I believe I've heard of this "Spanish" before. Isn't that the aborigine language used by Taco Bell? I can look into a localization to this language as well, if you like. Tell me about it. I had to hack for ages to get my double sized font in, and now my local ZSNES won't run at <512x448 without crashing horribly... and I still fear that's not enough. My Egyptian font is incredibly difficult to read, and I had to abbreviate the hell out of some of the items (namely, netplay and the state selections; hopefully the meaning is still clear to native speakers of Egyptian).We are working with a 5x5 font after all...

See? It isn't very usable in it's current state :(

Sounds interesting.. but it not running < 512x448 makes a lot of sense to me. We use a special OS called Tacdows, the CPU runs on tequila and you need a sombrero over the screen to get a 16 bit color.
There is or WAS a project to translate the docs into spanish, but the guy that really worked on it, Mexandrew had other stuff to do and I guess the idea was scrapped.
There is also the idea of having NSRT in various languages, I helped Nach for a bit in the spanish one, but Mexandrew already had a better translation. And for those who don't know, school is a bitch, and I lack the knowledge to insert the text or even some of the translations for some emulation concepts.
Like Deathlike2 said, if there is an GUI overhaul, so you could use different languages like in NSRT, then I guess it's a viable request. But if there isn't someone that knows spanish and knows how to insert the translations, well, tough luck.

Your second paragraph makes no sense. Because ZSNES has a lot of worthless options, they should translate it to different languages?! And of COURSE it's a matter of understanding the options or the text. THAT IS THE WHOLE POINT IN TRANSLATING STUFF, FROM ONE LANGUAGE TO ANOTHER IS TO RETAIN AS MUCH OF THE ORIGINAL MEANING, IN A WORD OR WORDS OF THE OTHER LANGUAGE.
So, they should translate Zsnes to spanish (Even if they don't know the language) because it's the 3rd largest language? WELL, I GUESS THEY SHOULD TRANSLATE IT TO CHINESE FIRST. (I actually remember that there has been already a couple of requests on that too, go figure.)
And I won't even start with the "ñ" and "éáíúó" comment.

I'd like to mention that some of the options are very abbreviated as it is... regardless of using the language of choice, it won't just "fit" into the limited text space that has been provided (check Misc->GUI Options).

Not at all. My little 4 year-old nephew understands anything necessary to play SNES games on it.
