Slooow gameplay:(

Post by whato1986 »

Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2
Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Manufacturer: Dell Computer Corporation
System Model: Inspiron 5150
BIOS: Phoenix ROM BIOS PLUS Version 1.10 A38
Processor: Mobile Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.06GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory: 512MB RAM
Page File: 266MB used, 981MB available
Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c
DX Setup Parameters: Not found

Card name: NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5200
Manufacturer: NVIDIA
Chip type: GeForce FX Go5200
DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC
Display Memory: 32.0 MB
Current Mode: 1024 x 768 (32 bit) (60Hz)
Monitor: Default Monitor
Monitor Max Res:
Driver Name: nv4_disp.dll
DDI Version: 9 (or higher)

And I don't have any funky video filters on and I've tried it on all the different resolutions.

I had this problem before, but I remember fixing it my changing something in the dxdiag window box thing. However I have already tried to manually overide the Hz setting on my display and 60, with no luck, and also have turned on and off the direct draw/3d options.

Help!!!!

Thanks!!

Overriding the refresh rate is very counterproductive. Do the opposite instead.

Do you have VSync / Triple Buffering activated? High-priority mode?
Are there other programs running? (Keep the task manager open to watch the CPU load.)

Does the same happen with other games / emulators / previous ZSNES versions?

I've got no special modes running, no other programs running and happens with other games / emulators / previous ZSNES versions.

Last time I remember fixing it by changing something on dxdiag, but not sure what :(

The only other thing I can think of is closing other background apps and/or toggling "Increase Emu Priority" in the Options.

I have the Inspiron 5150

Mine was doing the same thing after I got the last driver made for it.

Use a older video card driver.

nVidia GeForce FX Go5200 driver from Dell
