well would you look at that. I actually am usually the person correcting people, That is kind of embarrassing, I assure you it was a typo rather than the inability to read roman numerals

Rome fell because of this.

I don't think I'm comfortable with the "Remaking the remake of the remake" thing anymore.

My god that website is terrible. Who the hell decided it would be a good idea to put all that fancy shit in there to display screenshots?

This is one game that I'm looking forward to playing just to see the upgrades they did. FF4 has always been my favorite in the series, hopefully they keep alot of the atmosphere intacked.

This should be sweet. I didn't get far into the original game.

I've heard that FFV and FFVI are also planned for a DS makeover.
Can anybody confirm this?

no official word yet, you may be confusing this with the Dragon Quest remakes coming to DS.

FFVI remake would be pretty sweet IMO. This is a little off topic, but, they should at least add it for download on the wii.

That's not going to happen. It would hamper sales of the DS version of the game.

Voiceover part is nice, maybe the only thing different. I don't think it would be the whole dialog though. How big can a ROM be for the DS anyway?

The highest DS card can hold up to 2 gigabit, which is about 256 MB. That should be plenty.

Hmmm... suppose they use 128mb for the game and 128 mbit for voiceovers, could fit. Doesn´t have to be very high quality.
Makes me think, why has no company in the videogame world gone for implementing voice modulation? I don't even see experimentation on this field since a long time ago.

See TOP's GBA port. Its voices blow.

they're very nice in archaic sealed heat, though. and that's the only 256 MB DS cart that I know of. granted, it only used it sparingly, as far as i can tell.

why oh why are there STILL internal limitations as to how big the cards can be?

Who knows. Maybe Nintendo should start using flash memory similar to SD cards I suppose.
