I really don't see the benefit either. I was experimenting with the "Disable SPC Emulation" option and it caused my S-DD1 ROMs to crash. Unless you have a ridiculously slow PC (like a 486), yeah I see
how it can help. But since I've 1.53GHz, I don't need to disable SPC emulation.
Sony's PSP may have superior hardware, but like many other systems, it doesn't focus on quality in their games. The Nintendo DS will prevail in the gaming department!

Disabling SPC emu "fixes" the BoF2 freezing bug, right ?

Disabling it toasts SPL4, which made it a total bitch to test before I was told what was going on.

Another question:

In the F1 menu, can snapshots be taken in .PCX format anymore? I know that .PNG and .BMP are available.

Not in the windows version for a long time. Not sure about Linux, but I doubt it.

Thanks. PCX was mentioned in the windows docs for some reason, so I fixed that.

I've made some good progress. Here is my version of the docs in a zip file:

http://www.geocities.com/icefox150/file ... icefox.zip

Copy and paste that into your browser.

The only things that I haven't grammar fixed are the What's New list and the credits section in the Readme. I kind of figured that those should be left alone for some reason. :)

OK, now, are there any BS Satellaview games that run right? I was going to add BS emulation to the section of games that don't work right.

Also, will the SuperFX be pretty well perfect for 1.40?

I dunno for sure, but in Zsnes 1.40RC1, the SuperFX chip does seem to run quite well in Star Fox. Not sure about others.

Oh, yeah. Couple of questions, one - has there a chance for any of the Zsnes pepole to look over my SPC7110 doc? And two, before I ask this, keep in mind I am not asking when Zsnes is coming out. Okay, will the SPC700 behave more like the real SuperNES SPC700 chip?

gaijinx1, if you really want to know about updates to ZSNES as they happen, you should periodically visit the ZSNES Changelog on Agozer's site. Everything dated after 1.40 RC1 are the changes you haven't seen yet, unless you compile the source code yourself.

I already gave him the link to the CIA changelog page, displaying all updates made to the source.

Hey IceFox, it seems like the BS is still broke. I just got done pathetically trying again to start a game of Zelda 3 (The japanese one), and it doesn't work in ZSnes 1.4 RC1.
Problem: Every time I try to start a new game, I keep getting the same character over and over, and when I press start to make the game file, it doesn't create. It works just fine in Snes9X 1.39 (but the s-ram was broke then, but was fixed in 1.42)

Isn't that the game where you have to hold down the fast foward button for a minute for it to start?

And why should one BS game reflect on the emulatablilty of them all?

Here's my latest man page version. If no more problems are found, I shall consider it the final revision.

If there are no problems, great! If it is called "the final version", that's great, too. I noticed for a long time that this project is going rather smoothly.

So has anyone checked with the docs lately?

I'd appreciate if someone would look at my version at http://www.geocities.com/icefox150/windows/readme.htm and at least check the Current Progress section to see if things are updated enough. As for the What's New list, everything through RC1 should be there (except for S-DD1 support and Super FX updates from RC1).

You can download the docs at http://www.geocities.com/icefox150/file ... icefox.zip

hmm... maybe the term "KitchenSync" needs to be explained in "Things To Know".

In that case you should replace 'and' by 'or'...

I still prefer my way, because it's thanking "all those people" as a group rather than individuals, and the community as a whole did all of those things.

Well, Mint does have such an effect on certain individuals.
whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?
sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.
