It's in the August 11, 2003 update. That side bar thing hasn't been updated in ages.
I think it was last updated after the first release that came with a man page, what ever that was, because that's how my old nick got put on there.

Anyway, glad it got released.

Well aware of that, but I don't see why the sidebar hasn't been changed...

About Dialog has been change in the CVS to mention the inclusion of the other main coders.
Also a new option is in that allows you to turn ON/OFF the autopatcher in ZSNES which is kinda cool i think.
Just noticed it came in fresh a few hours ago on CVS.

Compiled it with MinGW/MSYS (with minor modifications to the makefile)
Works just fine :)

You know.. was just thinking there is no way to ultimately stop a rom. There's Load, Run, and Reset but no stop/close option. I know minor but just a thought. It helps with the autopatcher because when changing the autopatcher setting while in play and then reseting, it runs the "patched" rom instead.

You could probably just load the ROM again, but i haven't really messed with the new autopatcher much...

Yes, that does work. I generally have the autopatcher on by default (since it was originally always on.) Plus I don't Like to hardcode patches into my games. So I find it kinda neat to turn the autopatcher off.

Still I don't see anything wrong with either unloading a rom or somehow telling ZSNES to fully reset the rom loading since it seems to just use the autopatched rom instead of the original rom without using the IPS patch.

I don't see anything wrong with it either, but there really isn't much of a reason for it, i mean how hard is it to hit the down aarow and pick the top entry?

Just sayin, it would prolly be more work than its worth (adding entries to the GUI is no simple task)

SNES reset switch is emulated via the reset menu button or key shortcut. Removing and reinserting the cart is emulated by running another game by picking it from the recent list or using load.

There would be no point in making a special remove the cart from the SNES button, as you'll just have to pick a game to insert again anyway.

Just wanted to thank you and congratulate you for the great job you do with this emulator.
First time I used it was to have the transparencies in Chrono Trigger, despite the lack of sound :D (if I remember well). And this was a long time ago....
What progress were made!!!!!

Woooo! ZSNES 1.40! Awesome work, guys.

My history with it doesn't go as far back as some of the others... I've only been using it since 1.32, but it's still the best SNES emu I've tried. Blows SNSE9X out of the water, IMHO.

Agreed. Thanks a lot for your hard work. ZSnes 1.4 is great, and I actually went on a Snes craze when it came out, and brought out my games again.

So, good job. Very awesome.

I noticed that in the newer CVS, borders were added around the sample rate and frameskip box etc. and it looks nice. Are there any plans to add the borders to the Input #1-5 menus? There are a lot of borders to add there, but it would look much nicer if it could be done.

Im in the process of adding the borders to every box (Input im done with, trying to tweak the netplay box so borders will fit). Is there any other boxes that don't have borders?

1.41 Official

Post by ipher »

1.41 is out.

Expected this so soon after v1.40?

This is mostly a bug fix release for stability.
We also added some small new features and made other minor improvements.
See the what's new for the exact details.

-ZSNES Team

Unfortunately, Sourceforge is in the middle of a 7 hour maintainance on their site, so Nach can't upload the files/update the website.
Fortunately, i mirrored them on my site

Enjoy!
