Dude, have you seen the latest generation of Flat Screens, within like the last 6 Months ?seam wrote:I personally hate flatscreen screens. The framerate issue is a downer, plus I hate that "interpolated" look to the picture. I just don't see any real advantages, besides saving space. And you're certainly not saving money. Anyway, the ONLY other app/game I really have this problem in seems to be genecyst. It's a great emulator, but it also seems to have the tearing/slowdown problem. Nebula, and gba, etc. are fine though.. I'm surprised no one else has had this problem. Like I said before, even at 640x480 with NO special effects, it still does this... and I have a 1.2ghz with a fx 5600... it just doesn't make sense. I'll keep checking up on this topic until I figure something out, or just give up. Any help is appreciated, as always.

2xsai is a 2x filter, so the output of that filter is 512x448 image.seam wrote:it doesnt look any finer, or less edgy. im using super 2xsai.
I like that taste in laptops. Hmm... oughta update my dream list to have dual-channel RAM. Notice the bolded word. I would definately recommend this for a laptop. Anyhow, only problem I see is the cpu. I'd go with the fastest AMD. It's an ass-kicker, plus it's cheaper.LDAWG wrote:My Dell XPS Laptop Specs:
3.4GHz Pentium 4
1GB DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual-Channel RAM (1st Laptop EVER with Dual-Channel RAM!)
ATi Radeon 9700
60GB 7200 RPM Hard Drive (7200 RPM is a rarity in Laptops)
Built-in Bluetooth (no need for hubs... it's cool just pulling out a Mouse and it works)
Windows XP Pro
Because a little ASM don't make us wet our pants:MaxSt wrote:And zsnes is the only emulator with MMX-optimized, playable, HQ4X filter.

You are using the lastest WIP right? Just Right Now I can tell you that in 512x448 DR WIN, you are able to use HQ2X, it's right next to interpolation.seam wrote:man, i just went through like 20 different settings. i dont see the HQ filters anywhere. anyone wanna tell me where at? also i went through the zsnes faq, and readme, and config file, and didnt see anything about HQ filters. just 2xsai filters.Joe Camacho wrote:You can only use them in some of zsne's Resolutions, they are there, look for them.seam wrote:u know, i have seen HQ filters in other emulators, but not in zsnes. is there a way to do this? am i thinking of nebula or 1964? i cant remember...
