I downloaded some movies of Castlevania 4, and when I read the Read Me for the movies from the maker of them, it says:
Unzip the files to your ZSNES folder, then rename your castlevaina4 game to scv4.smc, then run ZSNES, then open castlevania 4, then go to misc, then to movie opn, then click the little boxes as to what movie to play (you should play them in order 0 - 9, then rename 10 and 11 to play them). Remember, if it don't play then make sure your castlevania 4 game is named scv4.smc NOTE: these movies were recorded using ZSNES version 0.987
So does this mean I have to have .987 for this to work? I have tried dragging the files while the emulator is running Castlevania 4, but it doesn't work...help?

But isn't there a chance that these movies will go out of sync if he uses the latest WIP to run them? After all, there have been a LOT of changes between 0.987 and the current WIP.IceFox wrote:Make sure that the movies are in the same folder as your srms (by default, your ROM directory). And don't worry about 0.987, just use the latest version.

I can almost guarantee that it will go out-of-sync if it even works at all in the latest version.Cecil wrote:But isn't there a chance that these movies will go out of sync if he uses the latest WIP to run them?
