Front Mission: Gun Hazard graphical glitches

Post by Crowley »

During the mission when I call up the inventory, the item names are about two rows lower than they should be. Also, sometimes the map will be garbled when bringing it up during missions, but it's clear once it's fully revealed. I have this problem with both the original and translated ROM.

I experience this too.

It was always like this since I started playing it (i.e. way before the patch).
As I never use items, that's not SO bad, but this is obviously some kind of bug.

That's nice since I have no idea how to get that information out. Anyway I'm using version 1.36 of ZSNES, Win32 port.

Go grab the 10/19/2004 WIP, here and see if that works.
<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?
NSRT here.

I can confirm this as well on the WIP and 1.36, same ROM as grin, with/without English patch.

Works fine on SNES9x.

Thread necromancy gogogogogogogogo

Just posting to say that the issue is still present in both 1.42 and the latest (Feb 10th) WIP.

When the game's actually in motion, the item captions flicker.

Also, I should mention that there's similar glitchyness when it comes to the title screen, and when viewing the area map (accessed by pressing start). Just for comparision's sake, I tried it in Snes9X and it worked fine.

This appears to be a timing bug. It could be a while before this is fixed. I could put in a special fix for this game to correct the issue but I am sure that will be frowned down upon by my peers.
